About
Who builds ClipIt
ClipIt is built and run by Abdul Hamid Achik, an independent engineer based in Guadalajara, Mexico, through his software studio The Lacanians.
It is not a company with a support department. One person builds it, answers the email, and is on the other end when something breaks. That is worth knowing before you trust it with your recordings, in both directions: replies come from the person who wrote the code, and there is no rota covering nights.
You can read what he writes at abdulachik.dev, and see the work at thelacanians.com. Support and correspondence are in English and Spanish; the product itself is not limited to those — recordings are transcribed in whatever language is spoken, and captions can be translated into many more.
Where your recordings go
Video is stored and served by Mux; transcripts are analysed through Vercel AI Gateway. Nothing you upload is used to train a model, and no recording is readable by another account. You can delete any recording from its own page, which removes the video from storage along with its transcript and every answer derived from it.
The full list of services that touch your data is in the privacy policy, and the billing commitments — including the 7-day refund window — are in the terms.
