1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ClipIt ("Service"), available at clipit.now, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

ClipIt is an AI-powered semantic search service for long recordings. Users upload a recording and ask a question about it in natural language; the Service transcribes the recording, analyses the transcript, and returns the time ranges that answer the question, each with the reasoning behind it. Ranges are references into your uploaded recording — no new video file is produced unless you explicitly export one.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update it as necessary.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload or process content you do not have the right, permission, or lawful basis to use
• Upload child sexual abuse or exploitation material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that exploits or endangers a person
• Upload content that is illegal, threatening, hateful, harassing, defamatory, sexually exploitative, or intended to promote violence or terrorism
• Upload malware, malicious code, or a file designed to exploit a media player, decoder, or our systems
• Violate applicable laws or regulations, or infringe another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

5. Content Safety and Enforcement

You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions for every recording you upload, including permission from people whose personal information or likeness appears in it where required by law. You remain responsible for the content you submit and for responding to claims about it.

ClipIt may pause processing, restrict access to, remove, or preserve information about content that may violate these Terms or applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts, investigate reports, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. We may use technical checks and human review when needed, but no automated control is perfect: ClipIt does not guarantee that every virus, malicious file, or prohibited or unlawful item will be detected before processing.

For video content, ClipIt uses Mux Robots to review sampled thumbnails for signals associated with sexual or violent content. A result that exceeds our configured thresholds can stop processing and remove the recording's public playback identifiers while the underlying asset remains available for an operator decision. This automated result is a safety signal, not a legal conclusion, and false positives are possible. It does not scan every part of every file, detect malware, determine copyright ownership, or guarantee that illegal or prohibited content will be identified.

To report suspected prohibited content or an infringement, contact support@clipit.now with the recording link or account information and a short explanation. Do not email illegal material itself. For an immediate threat to someone's safety, contact local emergency services first.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service. By using the Service, you grant ClipIt a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content to provide, secure, and enforce the Service, respond to reports or lawful requests, and produce the results you ask for. ClipIt does not claim ownership of your uploaded content, the results returned to you, or any clips you export.

The Service itself, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is the property of ClipIt and is protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Payment & Subscriptions

Certain features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions recur monthly or annually, according to the billing interval you choose at checkout. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Paid plans carry a 7-day refund window from the start of a billing period: email support@clipit.now within seven days and we refund that period in full, no questions asked. Outside that window, refunds are handled case by case. The pricing page states the same seven days, and these terms are the binding version of that promise rather than a quieter one.

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of paid features after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. ClipIt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
