• Content you provide: videos you upload and text prompts you enter
• Usage data: information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited and features used
• Payment information: billing details processed through our payment provider (Polar); we do not store full payment card details

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and operate the Service, including processing your video clips
• Manage your account and subscriptions
• Communicate with you about the Service
• Improve and develop new features
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect against misuse

3. Data Retention

Video processing jobs and associated temporary files are automatically deleted within 24 hours of processing. Your account information is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ClipIt:

• OpenAI — for audio transcription of video content
• Anthropic — for AI analysis and clip identification
• DigitalOcean — for hosting and data storage
• Polar — for payment processing and subscription management
• Google — for OAuth authentication
• Vercel — for web application hosting and analytics

Each third-party service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
• Delete your personal data and account
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format
• Object to processing of your personal data in certain circumstances
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymized usage data about how visitors interact with the Service. This helps us understand usage patterns and improve the product. We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
